I am still a little cautious on just what way to shout for this upcoming winter on this side of the pond, but what I will say is this.. The current situation with the solar cycle, the El Nino and a cold pool off Ireland makes me worried!

However, was last winter’s cold a fluke and a return to warmer than normal return and the CFS is talking rubbish? More on this later.

    >This cold pool is at the surface off Ireland. I wouldnt expect surface water temperatures to be above average everywhere in the world simulataneously. It is likey that this is part of the induced variability in surface oceanic temperatures. If indeed all the surface temperature do indeed dip into the blue, then I will reconsider my statement.
