>i am releasing western europe winter ideas soon. Last winter was cold and a little more snowy, however it will take several more years and a flip to colder north atlantic waters (that process is beginning i believe) and then we shall see some nice cold, snowy winters back. We had sustained cold last winter but nothing unusual really in actual nighttime lows, perhaps only unusual because we haven't seen "cold" for 10 years. Last winter is a taste of greater things to come my friend. North America has begun that cooldown, we're next but we need to north atlantic to cool before we see "bitter".
>Just by comparison it peaked out at 72 F by the Fife riveria (in Lochgelly) today. I am also pleased to see NSIDC showing a continued "slow" ice decline in the artic. Maybe we can look forward to record ice levels this coming winter.
Do you predict the Forth Estuary freezing over this winter? I saw lochgelly freeze over several times in the depths of last winter. It was a sight to be proud of with the intense cold sitting over bonnie Fife. I wouldnt have skated on it for a million dollars though.
